| The HEROES Campaign! The HEROES for the American Red Cross is an exciting campaign that has successfully raised funds for the Greater Pamlico Area Chapter. Call the Chapter at 252-946-4110 and become a HERO today! You may think that you can't be a HERO, but we are all HEROES in our own way. Recently the Chapter participated in a local festival, giving out information and telling the Red Cross story. Some of the information was for children, in the form of coloring books on being prepared for a storm. A small boy approached looking over all the material; he reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of pennies. We told him the coloring books were free, his reply "I know, but I want to help people too." That little boy is a HERO in the truest sense; he gave his all to help others. Call us today to find out how you, your civic group, church, business or community organizations can help make the 2010 HEROES CAMPAIGN the most successful campaign in history!! |
